This was a class project when I was still taking baby steps, but isn’t it adorable? I would definitely make this cake again. It’s sweet, whimsical, and child-like all wrapped up in one. In fact this cake makes me want to sit down with a good book and read a child a story about a magical butterfly garden. I’m almost sure that that is what these types of cakes are supposed to do … create a warm and fuzzy feeling, draw on a memory or create a new one. It makes me think of my children as babies … soft, chubby and full of wonder … pure sweetness.
