How does your garden grow?

With yellow and pink roses, ivory chrysanthemums, and purple violets, it grows with love and wild abandon. Working with a buttercream base and royal icing flowers, I designed this beautiful garden cake for a special birthday celebration. The flowers were made ahead of time so that they would have time to dry and the leaves were piped on at the end with a pale green buttercream.  The cake had a delicious lemon filling and ended up being a perfect match to the beautiful bouquets of real flowers in the room.
