It's a summer shoe sale
I took a class so that I could learn to make a pillow and shoe cake. What a great deal that turned out to be. I love shoes and I LOVE making them. My only regret is that they’re not real and I can’t wear them. But the next best thing if you can’t wear your beautiful shoes, is to display them on a beautiful pillow so everyone can oowwhh and aawwhh. They're delightful because what woman does not LOVE shoes? While everyone in our final class made a pillow cake topped with one, two or three shoes at the most, guess who showed up with 5? What can I say …. I have an addiction. At least I was making them … and not BUYING them. When I was done, my pillow reminded me of a summer shoe sale. I didn’t get it done, but I can just envision a big “CLEARANCE” sign hanging in the background. What I did get around to, was sending this cake off to a young girl, who was turning 16. I thought this cake would definitely “step” things up a little.
