Tower of Cupcakes & Love

The first weekend in July is the perfect time to get married.  23 years ago, I did. My friend Natalie's parents came to our wedding and now their daughter is getting married on the same weekend, just 23 years later. And the most exciting part; I had the honour of making their cake and cupcakes.  I bought my very first cupcake tower and filled it to the brim with beautiful cupcakes covered in delicious swirls of vanilla buttercream.  Natalie chose 3 flavours of cupcakes for her special day; lemon buttermilk with a lemon curd filling, chocolate, and strawberry (overflowing with little bits of fresh strawberries). Each flavour was topped with a handmade blossom with a specific colour and style for each cupcake flavour. The top of the tower held a piped vanilla fondant cake that was topped with beautiful white roses dusted with mauve petal dust. The overall impression of the tower was stunning as it sat on it's own beautifully draped table at the front of the grand ballroom overlooking the golf course.  The cupcakes matched the bouquets of flowers placed on each table throughout the room and delivered a stunning elegance to these delicious treats.
